
Two people were killed and eight left injured in a hit-and-run case in Rajasthan’s Jaipur police said on Monday evening, news agency IANS reported.
The offical said that an uncontrolled vehicle ran over five to seven people, resulting in two deaths on the spot and the driver has been taken into police custody.

After the incident, as the car driver tried to flee, the locals chased it and successfully stopped it.
As per the officials, the accused driver is identified as Usman, was he was reportedly under the influence of alcohol.

At least four people were killed and two others sustained injuries after being hit by a speeding car in Uttarakhand’s Dehradun on March 12. The incident took place in the Rajpur Road area near Sai Temple. The four pedestrians were killed on the spot.
According to Senior Superintendent of Police, Dehradun, Ajay Singh, the incident took place near Uttaranchal Hospital where an overspeeding Mercedes car with Chandigarh number plate, hit four workers and a scooter. He said that all four labourers were rushed to Uttaranchal Hospital, where doctors declared them dead. Singh said that the driver fled from the spot along with the car after the incident.

Earlier in March, a Delhi University student, Rishal Singh, was hit by a car when he was on his cycle to distribute newspapers near Sector 15. The incident occurred near KN Katju Marg, following which a case was registered.
Days after the incident, the accused Saurabh Gupta (26) and his uncle Pankaj Gupta (41) were arrested.The police took the help of CCTV footage to identify the vehicle, a Hyundai Venue and the accused were taken into the custody from Rohini’s Sector 16.
