Traffic To Be Diverted At This Key Noida Intersection Till March 31. Check Alternative Routes

Noida News: Commuters taking the Barola crossing in Noida will have to face trouble as the Noida Authority has announced a month-long diversion in the area to facilitate the installation of a 50-meter-long steel girder on the Bhangel elevated road. This diversion, effective until March 31, will affect traffic from all four directions at the intersection.

Around 90% of the construction work on the elevated road has been completed, with the project expected to open by April 2025.

The Noida Traffic Police has asked commuters to plan their journeys accordingly and follow the suggested alternative routes to avoid delays.

Alternative Routes

From Hajipur Underpass: Vehicles will be redirected through Sector 100’s internal roads towards Sector 49.

From Sector 76: Traffic will be diverted via internal roads to manage the flow effectively.

The project has been delayed by over two and a half to three years, as it was originally scheduled for completion in 2022. The Noida Authority changed the design of the elevated road as two unapproved buildings came in the way of this project.

The elevated road will offer a smooth ride to the thousands of commuters who face traffic congestion on the Dadri road that connects Noida with Dadri town through Greater Noida.

“The elevated road, including its carriageways and crash barriers on both sides, has a total width of 24.50 metres, with each side having a 12-metre carriageway and a 0.5-metre median gap,” Hindustan Times had reported quoting an official.
