The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) announced on Tuesday that the all metro lines, including the Airport Express will not be in service on March 14 till 2.30 PM on accountv of Holi. The DMRC further said that normal services will continue thereafter on all lines.

“On the day of the Holi festival, March 14, metro services will not be available until 2.30 pm on all Delhi Metro lines, including the Airport Express Line,” the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) said, news agency PTI reported.

“The services will commence at 2.30 pm from terminal stations on all lines and will continue as usual thereafter,” the DMRC added. 

Delhi Metro Finishes Tunnelling Work On Phase 4 Of Golden Line Project

In other development, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has completed its tunnelling work on Phase 4 of the Golden Line project running between Vasant Kunj and Kishangarh stations, a part of the Tughlakabad-Aerocity corridor.

DMRC has confirmed that the tunnel boring machine (TBM) has successfully made into at the Vasant Kunj station site in the presence of Union Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs and Power, Manohar Lal Khattar, and Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs, Tokhan Sahu, according to a report by Mint.

A tunnel boring machine (TBM) measuring 91 metres in length has successfully completed the excavation of a 1,550-metre tunnel at Vasant Kunj station. According to a statement from the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), two parallel circular tunnels are being constructed to facilitate both up and down train movement on this route. The second tunnel’s excavation is expected to conclude by June.  

The newly completed tunnel, positioned at an average depth of 23 metres, comprises 1,107 tunnel rings, each with an internal diameter of 5.8 metres, the statement added.  

As part of the approved Phase 4 expansion, DMRC is developing 40.109 km of underground metro tracks, with the Tughlakabad-Aerocity corridor alone featuring 19.343 km of underground sections.
