Tuition Teacher Arrested
The bodies of two young siblings were found inside a parked car near Indrapuri Road No. 12 in the Pataliputra police station area, according to local media news reports.
The victims, identified as five-year-old Deepak Kumar and his seven-year-old sister Lakshmi, were discovered inside the vehicle within a residential compound. Their father, Ganesh Saw, works as a labourer in Patna, while their mother, Kiran Devi, is employed as a domestic worker.
Police rushed to the scene as soon as they received the report, and a Forensic Science Laboratory team was called in to assist with the investigation. The car has been seized, and a local female tuition teacher has been arrested in connection with the case.
Suspicion On Tuition Teacher
According to family members, the children had left home around 12:30 pm to attend tuition classes at the teacher’s house in the neighbourhood. When they failed to return by evening, relatives began searching for them. Kiran Devi said she called the teacher at around 4 pm, who claimed the children had already left for home.
The search continued until about 7 pm, when the children were found unconscious inside a parked car just a short distance from their house. They were rushed to LNJP Hospital, where doctors declared them dead on arrival.
The grieving mother alleged that her son’s body bore injury marks and that her daughter had been strangled, claiming the children were murdered and their bodies hidden in the car. Both had been attending tuition classes for the past four months.
Outrage Among Locals
The incident sparked outrage in the locality, with residents and relatives demanding justice.
Police said the girl was still breathing when found but could not be saved despite immediate medical attention. Officials confirmed injury marks on the bodies and said the FSL team was conducting a detailed examination. Investigations are underway from all angles, with the car owner and other individuals being questioned.
The bodies have been sent for post-mortem, and police said the exact cause of death will be determined once the report is available.
