An Army personnel was killed and two others sustained injuries in a landmine blast along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district on Friday.
The incident took place in the general area of Krishna Ghati when the troops of the 7 JAT Regiment were on an area domination patrol, the Indian Army’s White Knight Corps said.
The injured also includes a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO). They have been shifted to a military hospital and are said to be in a stable condition.
The Army paid tribute to Agniveer Lalit Kumar, who lost his life in the line of duty during an area domination patrol after a mine blast.
“GOC White Knight Corps and all ranks pay solemn tribute to Agniveer Lalit Kumar of 7 JAT Regiment, who made the supreme sacrifice while on an area domination patrol in the general area of Krishna Ghati brigade, following a mine blast,” White Knight Corps said on X.
