
Madhur Bajaj, a non-executive director of Bajaj Auto, passed away this morning in Mumbai at the age of 63.
Due to some health issues, Bajaj had been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in South Mumbai. He suffered a stroke a couple of days back. HE died at around 5 AM today, April 11.
Apart from non=executive director of Bajaj Auto, he was also the Chairman of Maharashtra Scooters Limited, besides being Director of Bajaj Electricals Limited, Bajaj Finance Limited and several other companies of the Bajaj Group.
Bajaj was an alumni of Doon School, Dehra Dun. After obtaining his B.Com Degree from Sydenham College, Bombay, in 1973, he did his MBA at International Institute of Management Development (IMD), Lausanne, Switzerland, in 1979.
Bajaj was the recipient of the ‘Vikas Rattan’ Award from the International Friendship Society of India, for enriching human life and outstanding achievements.
He had more than 29 years of experience in a number of sectors including in the auto, consumer durables and financial services.
