Zomato Q3 Earnings
Despite its rapid expansion, Blinkit’s parent company, Zomato, reported a Rs 103 crore loss in its quick commerce segment for the quarter ending December 31, 2024. This was primarily due to increased investments to drive growth.
In a letter to shareholders, Zomato acknowledged that losses in Blinkit’s operations are expected to continue in the short term as the company continues to invest in scaling up.
Although rising competition has helped boost awareness and demand for quick commerce, Dhindsa noted that it has temporarily slowed down profit margin growth—something the company sees as a short-term challenge.
