Chaotic scenes unfolded in Maharashtra’s Nashik on Tuesday night as a clash erupted after a police team and municipal corporation officials were attacked by a mob of people when they went to remove an ‘illegal’ dargah.
The incident took place late last night in Nashik’s Kathe Gali area. The Municipal Corporation had issued a notice to remove unauthorized construction at the dargah within 15 days, but the dargah committee did not do anything about it. This prompted action by the municipal corporation officials, who reached the Satpir Dargah at around midnight to remove it.
