Three youths were seriously injured after a speeding Indigo car hit their scooter on VIP Road of Raipur, Chhattisgarh on Wednesday night. All the injured were quickly rushed to Mekahara Hospital. Later, after the treatment they got discharged.
Eyewitnesses told India Today that a young lawyer and a Russian woman, both reportedly heavily intoxicated, were part of the incident. The eyewitness reported that the Russian woman was sitting on the lap of the driver while he was driving. As a result, the car hit the scooter after losing its control.
After the collision, chaos ensued as police officers arrived at the scene. The Russian woman got into a heated argument with them, causing a public disturbance. A video of the incident showing the Russian girl aggressively arguing with the police personnel is going viral on social media.

Police Seize Vehicle
Both the driver and the Russian woman, who is in India on a tourist visa, have been taken into custody. The accident took place under the jurisdiction of the Telibandha police station, and a detailed investigation is underway.
Authorities are also scrutinising the “Bharat Sarkar” signage on the vehicle, which belongs to a private individual, to verify its authenticity. The police have presented the car owner and the Russian woman before a court, seeking their custody for further inquiry.
According to a report by Oneindia, the victims, Neelkamal Sahu, Lalit Chandel, and Arun Vishwakarma, are residents of Raipur, Mahasamund, and Balodabazar, respectively, and are employed in video production.
Telibandha Station In-charge Narendra Mishra stated that a case has been filed against the accused for reckless driving. Additional charges related to drunk driving will be imposed based on the medical report. The vehicle has been confiscated.
