The Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025 turned out to be a cracker of a contest, with the series ending levelled at 2-2. The series witnessed plenty of runs from both the teams as the bowlers struggled to limit the flow of runs in batting-friendly conditions.

However, several bowlers rose to the occasion and crafted moments of brilliance by their menacing spells. A few bowling performances injected the much-needed drama and unpredictability in an otherwise batting-dominated series.

3. Ben Stokes (17 wickets in eight innings)

Ben Stokes was right on the money since the start of the series. One major feature of his bowling was the long spells he bowled without any signs of fatigue. He took a four-fer (4/66 in 20 overs) in the first innings of the first Test at Headingley.

Stokes did not get a lot of overs under his belt in the second match at Edgbaston but he delivered a marathon effort in the Lord’s Test. Other than his batting, Stokes’ efforts with the ball (2/63 in 20 overs and 3/48 in 24 overs) proved instrumental in setting up England’s 22-run win. In the subsequent Test at the Old Trafford, Stokes went onto pick up his first five-fer in Tests in nearly eight years (5/72 in 24 overs) before missing the fifth and final one at the Oval with an injury.
