Eternal Q2 Results: Zomato parent’s revenue jumps 183% YoY to Rs 13,590 crore; net profit falls 63%

Eternal Q2 Results: Eternal, the parent company of food delivery platform Zomato and quick commerce firm Blinkit, on Thursday, October 16, reported a sharp revenue surge to Rs 13,590 crore in Q2 of fiscal year 2025-26 (FY26), up 183 per cent year-on-year from Rs 4,799 crore in the same quarter last year, according to the company’s exchange filing.

However, net profit fell 63 per cent to Rs 65 crore, down from Rs 176 crore a year ago. On a quarter-on-quarter (Q-Q) basis, revenue jumped from Rs 7,167 crore in Q1 to Rs 13,590 crore in Q2, while PAT rose from Rs 25 crore to Rs 65 crore.

Meanwhile, shares of Eternal closed almost 2 per cent lower at Rs 348.40 apiece following the results announcement.

Total expenses for the Gurugram-based company soared 188 per cent to Rs 13,813 crore in Q2, up from Rs 4,783 crore a year ago and Rs 7,433 crore in Q1 FY26. The company ended the quarter with a cash balance of Rs 18,314 crore, slightly down from Rs 18,857 crore in the previous quarter.

Eternal also announced the incorporation of a wholly-owned subsidiary, Eternal General Service Foundation (“Eternal Foundation”).

Food delivery business

Adjusted revenue from Zomato’s food delivery vertical rose 22 per cent YoY to Rs 2,863 crore in Q2, up from Rs 2,340 crore in Q2 FY25. Sequentially, revenue increased from Rs 2,657 crore in Q1 FY26.

The net order value (NOV) for the segment grew to Rs 9,423 crore in Q2 FY26, up from Rs 8,967 crore in Q1 FY26 and Rs 8,281 crore in Q2 FY25. Average monthly transacting customers (MTCs) increased to 24.1 million, compared with 22.9 million a quarter ago and 20.7 million in the same period last year.

Blinkit quick commerce

Blinkit reported an EBITDA loss of Rs 156 crore in Q2 FY26, widening from a loss of Rs 8 crore in Q2 FY25, largely due to rapid dark store expansion. On a sequential basis, the adjusted EBITDA loss narrowed from Rs 162 crore in Q1 FY26.

Revenue for Blinkit surged 756 per cent YoY to Rs 9,891 crore, up from Rs 1,156 crore in Q2 FY25, driven by the company’s shift to an inventory ownership model. Sequentially, revenue rose from Rs 2,400 crore in Q1 FY26.

The NOV for Blinkit increased 137 per cent YoY to Rs 11,679 crore in Q2, from Rs 4,928 crore a year ago and Rs 9,203 crore in Q1 FY26. Average order value (AOV) remained relatively stable sequentially at Rs 524, compared with Rs 521 in Q1 FY26 and Rs 531 in Q2 FY25.

The company’s dark store network expanded to 1,816 in Q2 FY26 from 791 last year, while average monthly transacting users climbed to 20.8 million from 8.9 million in Q2 FY25.

Going Out business

Revenue from Zomato’s Going Out vertical declined 26 per cent YoY to Rs 189 crore in Q2 FY26, compared with Rs 154 crore in Q2 FY25 and Rs 207 crore in Q1 FY26.

However, NOV for the segment increased to Rs 2,063 crore, up from Rs 1,562 crore a year ago, though down from Rs 2,313 crore in the previous quarter.
