The incident comes a day after a massive fire broke out in a multi-storey building housing several shops in Delhi’s bustling Sadar Bazaar. According to officials, the blaze started on the first floor and quickly spread through the structure.
A senior official from the Delhi Fire Services (DFS) confirmed that one firefighter sustained injuries while trying to control the flames.
“A fire operator sustained injuries during the firefighting operation and was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital by police. No other injuries have been reported as all occupants had safely exited the building,” the official stated.
No casualties or injuries were reported in the incident.
27 Fire Tenders Deployed

The incident caused panic in the busy market area, known for its dense concentration of wholesale shops and narrow lanes, which made firefighting efforts more challenging.
