‘I laugh at their creativity ‘ – Arshdeep Singh on getting entertained by online trollers | CricTracker

Ace pacer Arshdeep Singh has been plying his trade for the Punjab Kings in the ongoing Indian Premier League’s 2025 edition. His team has also been enjoying their time of late, as they have managed four wins out of six games, but it is the performance of Arshdeep, which is slightly concerning. The left-arm pacer hasn’t looked at his best, and has often leaked runs during crucial stages.

For some underwhelming performances, he has been at the helm of receiving trolls and hatred from fans on social media, where the netizens haven’t held back before taking a dig at the pacer whenever his performances went a bit dim. However, the cricketer has come up to accept that trolls don’t take a toll on his mental being, and he often enjoys their creativity, and appreciates their sense of humour.

“I have had ups and downs in my career. I have seen the highest point as well as the lowest point in a very short span. But I feel very entertained by these trolls. I laugh at their creativity and memes. Earlier, I used to save these memes and messages so I could use those later, but now I feel they don’t make any sense. However, I still enjoy looking at people’s creativity,” the pacer said in a ‘Kandid with Kings’ episode on PBKS’ YouTube channel.

Apart from the trolls, the Guna-born also talked about how he has matured early in his career while playing for PBKS as well, despite being one of the youngsters in the team. He revealed that he was given a huge responsibility by the team, which led to him feeling like a senior player straight away.

“Ever since I came to Punjab Kings, barring the first year, I started feeling seniority in my role. I have been associated with this team for the last seven years, and after spending my first year with the team, I started feeling that I have been given a huge responsibility,” the left-arm seamer added.

“The elevation in my role and growth came pretty early, and hence, I knew that I could not mess up at crucial stages because at those times, not working as per the plan can put the team in serious trouble. Hence, I became serious and started feeling like a senior way too early,” the T20 World Cup and Champions Trophy winner concluded.
