Tristan Stubbs snapped up an opportunity in the deep near the deep sweeper-cover fence to get rid of Aiden Markram on the final delivery of the 10th over during the recently concluded game between Lucknow Super Giants and Delhi Capitals on Tuesday, April 12. Playing his first IPL 2025 game, Dushmantha Chameera secured his inaugural scalp.
The 141.9 kph delivery full and outside off stump was carved over the off side by Markram. However, the shot was hit towards the longer side of the fence, where Stubbs did well to judge the trajectory of the ball to accept the ball in a reverse-cupped manner.

Speaking of the game, DC ended up clinching a comprehensive win by eight wickets. Mukesh Kumar was adjudged the Player of the Match for his maiden four-wicket haul in the competition. KL Rahul top-scored and remained unbeaten on 57 off 42 deliveries.

As for Markram, his 52 was the highest score by an LSG batter. The South African also picked up a couple of wickets in the three overs he bowled during the run chase. However, it was not meant to be for the Rishabh Pant-led side. They suffered their fourth loss of the season.
