IPL 2025: Best Catch of the Match – LSG vs RCB, Match 70

Abdul Samad hung onto a reverse-cupped catch to get rid of Rajat Patidar in Match 70 of IPL 2025 between Lucknow Super Giants and Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Ekana International Cricket Stadium. The middle-order batter had to walk back to the pavilion after scoring 14 runs off seven deliveries.

Patidar couldn’t keep a slower off-cutter from Will O’Rourke down and ended up cutting it straight to Samad at backward point. Samad took it comfortably in front of his chest as RCB lost their second wicket in the eighth over. O’Rourke pinned Liam Livingstone for a golden duck the very next ball to stall the visitors’ momentum.

RCB are in pursuit of 228 to claim a top-two spot in the points table. Coming to the first innings, LSG were off to a fiery start with the bat after losing the toss. Rishabh Pant, who had underperformed severely the entire season, played a splendid knock to end up unbeaten on 118 off 61 deliveries.

His 152-run stand with Mitchell Marsh (67 off 37) off just 78 deliveries set the foundation of the massive total. Nuwan Thushara (1/26 in four overs) was the standout performer for RCB. Other than him, every other bowler was belted all across the ground.
