IPL 2025: Mayank Yadav likely to join LSG camp on April 15 | CricTracker

Speedster Mayank Yadav has reportedly recovered from his injury and is now all set to join the Lucknow Super Giants camp for IPL 2025. A recent report has confirmed the development on Mayank’s recovery, as the pacer is now ready to make his mark in the Indian Premier League once again after an impressive debut in the previous year.

Notably, Mayank Yadav underwent an injury shortly after his international debut, following which he underwent rehabilitation at the BCCI Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Bengaluru. As per sources, the Uttar Pradesh cricketer will unite with Rishabh Pant & Co on April 15, as he has obtained a fitness clearance by the CoE.

“Mayank Yadav has recovered completely and his fitness report is fine. He will join the team’s training camp on April 15. The decision on which match he will play for Lucknow next will be decided by the coach of the Lucknow team and his coaching staff,” the source was quoted as saying by Sports Tak.

The pacer’s return could have happened much earlier into the tournament, as he had fully recovered from his leg injury. However, an unfortunate accident, where his toe hit the bed in his room, prolonged the wait further.

LSG’s promising start to 2025

The Lucknow-based franchise started on a high in 2025, having won four out of the six games they have played so far. Their first game was against Delhi Capitals and there were questions being raised on Rishabh Pant’s captaincy. However, the side came back stronger in the next game, courtesy of some brilliant stroke-making by Nicholas Pooran, who also tops the IPL Orange Cap charts currently.

They lost another game against Punjab Kings, but since then, some brilliant tactical moves and mindful decisions have witnessed them register a hat-trick of wins. They are fourth on the points table right now, and with the incoming Mayank Yadav, they would hope for even better performances.
