IPL 2026: RCB vs CSK, Match 11 highlights | CricTracker

Royal Challengers Bengaluru registered a thumping 43-run victory over Chennai Super Kings in Match 11 of the Indian Premier League 2026 on Sunday, April 5, at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru.

Batting first, RCB produced a batting masterclass and posted a massive 250/3 in 20 overs. Phil Salt provided a brisk start with 46 off 30 balls, while Virat Kohli added 28. Devdutt Padikkal anchored the innings with a fluent 50 off 29 balls before the late onslaught from Rajat Patidar and Tim David, who stitched together a stunning unbeaten 99-run partnership off just 35 balls. Patidar smashed an unbeaten 48 off 19, while David hammered a sensational unbeaten 70 off 25, propelling RCB to a daunting total.

In response, CSK were rocked early in the chase. Despite losing wickets at regular intervals, Sarfaraz Khan played a counter-attacking knock to keep their hopes alive, while others chipped in with brief contributions.

However, RCB bowlers maintained pressure throughout, ensuring CSK never got close to the target as they were eventually restricted to 207. The emphatic win has strengthened RCB’s strong start to the season, while CSK are at the bottom of the table after losing three consecutive matches.

Key Moments from Match 11 of IPL 2026:

Tim David storm at Chinnaswamy

It was a sensational display of power-hitting from Tim David, who completely took control in the death overs. Walking in at number five, he wasted no time in asserting dominance, striking boundaries at will and punishing anything in his arc. His unbeaten 70 off just 25 balls was filled with clean hitting and smart shot selection, as he dismantled the CSK bowling attack. He was well supported by RCB captain Patidar.

Sarfaraz Khan’s lone fight

Amidst yet another CSK batting collapse, Sarfaraz Khan stood tall for CSK with a fighting half-century, scoring a 25-ball 50. His aggressive strokeplay briefly brought some hope to the visitors, as he took on the RCB bowlers and tried to keep the required rate in check. However, lack of support from the other end meant his effort ultimately went in vain.

RCB’s dominant all-round performance

From posting a massive total to executing their bowling plans perfectly, RCB ticked all boxes in the match. Their ability to capitalise in the death overs and strike regularly with the ball ensured a complete performance and a commanding victory.

Jacob Duffy started off strong yet again, removing CSK openers cheaply, whereas Bhuvneshwar Kumar showed his class with a three-wicket haul. Krunal Pandya, Suyash Sharma and Abhinandan Singh were brilliant too.
