Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), the catering and ticketing arm of Indian Railways on Tuesday reported its December quarter earnings. For the review quarter, the company’s standalone net profit came in at Rs 341 crore, a nearly 14 per cent rise in comparison to Rs 299.9 crore reported in the corresponding period of the previous year.
The topline also increased to Rs 1,224.65 crore, marking a nearly 10 per cent increase over the same period last year. In Q3FY24, the state-run entity’s revenue from operations was at Rs 1,115.4 crore.
Furthermore, on the operational front – the company reported Rs 470 crore in EBITDA or earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation, while the same was Rs 420.26 crore in the same period of the previous year.
