ITC Q4 FY25 Results: ITC reportedĀ a consolidated net profit of Rs 19,561.57 crore for the March quarter (Q4 FY25), reflecting a 247 per cent year-on-year (YoY) surge from Rs 5,638 crore in the same period last year.
The one-time exceptional income of Rs 15,163.06 crore from the demerger and sale of its hotels business was the overriding factor in the massive increase in profits. Excluding the exceptional item, an adjusted profit of Rs 4,398.51 crore represented a decline on a YoY basis.
Revenue from operations rose 1.11 per cent YoY during Q4 to Rs 18,494 crore compared to Rs 18,290 crore in the March 2024 quarter.
The diversified FMCG-to-hotels giant saw its revenue from operations rise 10 per cent year-on-year at Rs 20,376 crore in Q4 FY25, compared to Rs 18,562 crore in Q4 FY24. The print was well ahead of Zee Business estimates of Rs 16,823 crore, driven by a sharp pickup in its FMCG, agri and cigarette businesses.
ITC Dividend
In addition to the results, ITC proposed a final dividend of Rs 7.85 per share for under year FY25. The dividend is subject to shareholder approval at the company’s 114th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Friday, July 25, 2025.
If it is approved at the AGM, the final dividend will be paid to the eligible shareholders, during the period of Monday, July 28 to Thursday, July 31, 2025. The record date has been set for Wednesday, May 28, 2025, to determine shareholder entitlement.
Sales volumes ā Cigarette business remains robust
Cigarette volumes increased by 4.5 per cent, as planned. Cigarette revenue increased 7 per cent year on year, while EBIT from the vertical increased 3.5 per cent. The segment is still a significant cash contributor and continues to underpin operating margins.
Stock MovementĀ
Barring the beat in earnings, ITC shares fell 1.6 per cent to Rs 426.10 on the NSE. The subdued reaction probably betrays profit-booking and wariness because of the base effect and disappointing share performance during the year.
