What Led To Kavitha’s Suspension?
K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) took the step following a series of consultations with senior party leaders beginning Monday, soon after Kavitha launched a scathing attack on her cousin and former minister T Harish Rao, along with two ex-MPs. Just hours after returning from the United States, Kavitha accused Harish Rao, her cousin and former parliamentarian J Santosh Kumar and former Rajya Sabha member Megha Krishna Reddy of tarnishing KCR’s image, reported IANS.
Her comments coincided with Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s announcement that alleged irregularities in the Kaleshwaram project would be referred to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
Kavitha alleged that misconduct by those close to KCR had sullied his reputation, ultimately leading to the CBI inquiry. Questioning Harish Rao’s role, she asked how he could escape responsibility despite having served as Irrigation Minister for five years.
According to her, while KCR’s focus was on the welfare of people, individuals around him struck deals with major contractors for personal gain.
