A Maharashtra student was faced with an unexpected situation on his exam day when he realised he had just 10-15 minutes left to reach the exam centre. However, there was another major problem apart from the time crunch—the heavy traffic in the city of Satara.
But, the student’s resolve to appear for examination led him to find out an unusual solution to this problem, which in most cases would have led someone to miss their exam.
Samarth Mahagande, a student from Pasarani village, was in Panchgani for some personal work on the day of the exam when he realised that he would get stuck in a massive traffic and had just 10-15 minutes remaining before the exam would begin. It was then that he decided to ditch the road and instead opted for an unconventional route—paragliding.
He came up with the solution with the help of his friend, an adventure sports expert from GP Adventures in Panchgani, who helped him arrange a fly over the congested route. Mahagande paraglided to the exam centre, beating the traffic in the Pasarani Ghat section of the Wai-Panchgani road.
Luckily, the bold decision helped the student make it to the exam centre in time. He reached safely at his exam venue under the supervision of experienced paragliding instructors.
A video of the student flying in the sky with his college bag and necessary gear for paragliding has surfaced online. The video was shared by an Instagram account ‘insta_satara’ and has gone viral on social media.
Satara district in western Maharashtra is known for paragliding activities.
