Mahua Moitra Gets Married In Germany, See First Pic

Firebrand Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra is reported to have tied the knot with Biju Janata Dal (BJD) leader and Puri MP Pinaki Misra on May 3. The wedding, much like the couple’s relationship, was kept under tight wraps, with no official confirmation or party acknowledgement.

When asked about the wedding, a Trinamool MP, on condition of anonymity, simply said, “I am not aware.” Neither Moitra nor Misra has made any public statements or social media posts about the reported nuptials.

However, Moitra was recently spotted in Germany, smiling and adorned in gold jewellery, sparking curiosity and adding fuel to the speculation.

From Controversy to New Beginnings

Moitra, who represents Krishnagar in West Bengal, was previously married to Danish financier Lars Brorson. She later entered a relationship with lawyer Jai Anant Dehadrai, whom she famously referred to as a “jilted ex” amid a public fallout.

Her political journey, too, has been eventful. A vocal critic of the central government, Moitra was expelled from Parliament in 2023 over allegations that she had raised questions about industrialist Gautam Adani at the behest of a business rival. In an interview with The Guardian at the time, she remarked, “I have terrible taste in men.”

Pinaki Misra, a senior BJD leader, has represented Odisha’s Puri constituency in the Lok Sabha and is known for his legal and political acumen.

Despite their contrasting political affiliations, the couple’s quiet wedding has drawn attention for both its secrecy and the intriguing cross-party alliance it represents.
