Mother Dairy Announces Hike In Price Of Milk From April 30. Check Details

Mother Dairy has announced a hike in milk prices in the Delhi-NCR market due to a rise in procurement cost. The dairy brand announced that the milk prices will be hiked by up to Rs 2 per litre from April 30 (Wednesday) to partly offset rising input costs.

The increase in prices of all variants of milk will be effective from Wednesday (April 30) in Delhi-NCR as well as other markets where the firm has a presence.

“This price revision has been necessitated to address the significant increase in procurement costs, which have gone up by Rs 4-5 per litre over the past few months,” a Mother Dairy official said.

The price of the Bulk Vended Milk (Toned) has been increased from Rs 54 to Rs 56 per litre. Meanwhile, the price of the Premium Full Cream Milk (Ultra) 500 ml pack has seen a Rs 1 hike— from Rs 38 to Rs 39.

In the Full Cream Milk category, the price has been hiked from Rs 68 to Rs 69 per litre, while the 500 ml pack is now priced at Rs 35, up from Rs 34.

The price of the toned milk has gone up from Rs 56 to Rs 57 per litre, while the 500 ml pack has increased from Rs 28 to Rs 29.

The price of Double Toned Milk (Live Lite) has also been revised. The 1000 ml pack will now cost at Rs 51, up from Rs 49, while the 500 ml pack will be available for Rs 26.

Additionally, the cow milk has also seen a Rs 2 hike from Rs 57 to Rs 59, while the 500 ml pack is available for Rs 30.

“We remain committed to ensuring the consistent availability of quality milk to consumers while supporting the livelihoods of our farmers. This revision represents only a partial pass-through of the increased costs, aiming to equitably serve the interests of both farmers and consumers,” Mother Dairy said in a statement.
