
The Maharashtra government on Tuesday transferred five more IAS officers and appointed Anchal Goyal as the new district collector for Mumbai city.
Goyal, a 2014 batch IAS officer, took charge as Nagpur Municipal Corporation’s additional commissioner on July 31, 2023. She served as district collector of Parbhani and CEO of Ratnagiri Zilla Parishad before her posting in Nagpur.
She currently holds additional charge as chief executive officer (CEO) of Nagpur Smart and Sustainable City Development Corporation Ltd (NSSCDCL).
Goyal handled departments such as solid waste management, health, education, social welfare, IT, transportation, property tax, traffic, and parks.
She led initiatives like computerising waste vehicle monitoring, establishing health centres, and helping NMC achieve property tax targets for the first time. Goyal is also credited with introducing mid-day meal programmes for pre-primary students, developing new parks, and spearheading digitisation of NMC’s system.
The General Administration Department has posted IAS officer Ankit as the Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar. Officers Minal Karanwal and Kavali Meghana have been posted as Chief Executive Officers for Zilla Parishads of Jalgaon and Nanded, respectively.
IAS officer Karishma Nair has been posted as Additional Municipal Commissioner, Nashik Municipal Corporation and Ranjit Mohan Yadav has been posted as Project Officer, ITDP, Gadchiroli and Assistant Collector, Gadchiroli Sub Division, Gadchiroli.
