NCL 2025: Top 3 highest wicket-takers

The second edition of the National Cricket League (NCL) T10 turned out to be a riveting affair as six teams contested for the prestigious trophy. However, Los Angeles Waves CC emerged victorious in the final, beating Dallas Lonestars CC by 18 runs at the University of Texas Dallas on Tuesday, October 14.

During the tournament, players put on some scintillating performances for their respective teams. Some players stood out with their consistent efforts during the campaign. On this note, let’s take a look at the leading wicket-takers in NCL T10 2025.

3. Rahul Sharma, Saad Bin Zafar

Former India leg-spinner Rahul Sharma’s performance was the silver lining for Chicago CC, who entered the tournament as the defending champions but went on to lose all five matches they played. Rahul picked up eight wickets in five matches at an average of 11.6 and a strike rate of 7.5.

Former Canada captain Saad Bin Zafar represented debutants Houston Generals CC in NCL T10 2025. He had a decent tournament with the ball, accounting for eight wickets in seven matches at an average of 13.9.

2. Samit Patel, Paul van Meekeren

England all-rounder Samit Patel did not make too many significant contributions with the bat for Dallas Lonestars CC. However, he led from the front with the ball, picking up 10 wickets in seven matches at an average of 8.1 and a strike rate of 6.6.

Netherlands seamer Paul van Meekeren had a memorable campaign with the ball, picking up 10 wickets in five matches. He bowled just eight overs in the tournament. The right-arm pacer averaged 3.7 with a strike rate of 4.8.

1. Rumman Raees

Pakistan fast bowler Rumman Raees topped the charts with 11 wickets from eight matches. He finished with an average of 7 and a strike rate of 7.1. The 33-year-old finished the campaign with a remarkable economy rate of 5.9.
