‘No One Should Come With A Mobile, Impose A Ban’: Nitish Loses Cool Over MLAs ‘Talking On Phone

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar lost his cool in the state assembly after noticing an opposition legislator using a mobile phone during the session on Thursday. Frustrated, Nitish Kumar stood and expressed his objection, urging Speaker Nand Kishore Yadav to impose a ban on mobile phones in the assembly, according to a report by TOI.

“These people are talking on mobile now. Earlier, it was banned. Now, everyone is talking with a mobile. Is this any good? You should say that no one should come with a mobile, impose a ban,” Nitish said. “That has already been done earlier. Why is this happening? It started 5-6 years ago, and the use of mobile phones will end the Earth within 10 years,” he added.

Amid uproar over his remarks from the opposition, he further warned that whoever enters the Assembly house with a phone. “Aside from that, you say separately. It is restricted. Whoever brings a mobile will be removed from here.”

CM Nitish Kumar claimed to have been a rigorous smartphone user himself, but said, “I have given it up. You too should do the same.”

RJD Leader Tejashwi Yadav Hits At Bihar CM Nitish Kumar

RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav has stepped up his attacks on Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for objection and request made to the Legislative Assembly speaker to ban mobile phones in the house.

Condemning the CM, Yadav labeled him a conservative and outdated Chief Minister who is anti-technology as well as anti-youth, students, and women. “It is unfortunate that Bihar has got such a conservative and outdated Chief Minister who is anti-technology as well as anti-youth, students and women. Condemnable!” he said in a post on X.

“The world will be destroyed in 10 years due to mobile phones – Honorable Shri Shri Nitish Kumar, ” Yadav mocked.

Highlighting the efforts that were made to make the house paperless, he added, “From an environmental point of view, arrangements have been made to answer questions online in order to make the House paperless. If an honourable member has to ask a supplementary question, he will have to ask it by looking at his mobile or tab, but the computer-illiterate Chief Minister of Bihar has a problem with that too.”
