In a bid for online fame, a YouTuber’s reckless stunt landed him in serious trouble. Ritesh Kumar, the man from Bihar’s Aurangabad behind a now-viral video, was caught on camera slapping an unsuspecting passenger aboard a moving train at Bihar’s Anugraha Narayan Road railway station.
The video caption indicated that he slapped the man as other passengers refused to open the doors of the train, which was apparently going to Prayagraj during Maha Kumbh. His friend, who filmed the entire incident, posted the clip on social media, hoping it would boost Kumar’s following.

However, the internet was far from impressed. As the video spread rapidly across social platforms, users condemned the act and demanded swift action. The outrage caught the attention of the Railway Protection Force (RPF), which wasted no time in tracking down Kumar. He was soon arrested and ordered to issue a public apology.
“No compromise on passenger security!! A YouTuber who slapped a passenger on a moving train for social media fame has been tracked & arrested by RPF Dehri-on-Sone!” the RPF announced in a statement on X (formerly Twitter), reinforcing their stance against such reckless behavior.
“Your safety matters to us—reckless acts will not be tolerated,” the RPF said after posting Kumar’s apology video, titled ‘action-reaction’ on X. The apology video is now viral on social media.
Faced with mounting backlash and legal consequences, Kumar released an apology video acknowledging his mistake.
“I am a YouTuber from Aurangabad [Bihar]. I create and post videos on Instagram to increase my followers. I went to Anugraha Narayan Road Railway Station and, to boost my follower count, slapped a passenger on a moving train,” he admitted. “This was my mistake, and I won’t repeat it. Please forgive me.”
