‘Part Of The Game’: Axar Patel Reacts To Rohit Sharma’s Dropped Catch Off His Hat-Trick Ball

IND Vs BAN: Indian all-rounder Axar Patel reflects on Rohit Sharma’s dropped catch, that eventually led to him missing out on a sensational hat-trick on his 50-over ICC mega event debut, by stating that it’s all ‘part of the game’.

Speaking during the mid-innings break, the left-arm spinner added that it will be easy for India to chase the target, as the surface is getting easier to bat on.

“I was very happy with the wickets. I didn’t hear the edge in the first wicket. Rahul heard it. In the second wicket, I definitely heard the noise. I thought Rohit had taken the catch but he didn’t. It’s the part of the game and I haven’t thought about it after that. If we had got the third wicket, the innings would have been over quickly. The wicket has got better to bat on and this is definitely a chasable score,” said Axar Patel.

“The ball is arriving on the bat a bit slower than we would have expected. I’m happy to contribute at any position. It feels good that the team believes in me and I’m happy to bat ay any position,” he added.
