Indigenous Weapons Showed Their Power: PM Modi
According to a report by news agency PTI, PM Modi emphasised the success of Indian-made defence equipment during Operation Sindoor, calling them a testament to the strength of the ‘Make in India’ initiative. He asserted how indigenous weapons proved their might in Operation Sindoor and showed that they are second to none.
He further asked his council to aim higher and work accordingly in order to achieve the goals.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh opened the session with an overview of the operation, while Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan delivered a detailed briefing on the strikes that targeted nine terror camps and responded to Pakistani offensives across multiple sectors, IANS reported.
A presentation on Operation Sindoor was also held during the meet, highlighting how Pakistan itself has acknowledged the extensive damage inflicted on it during the operation.
Ministers also expressed condolences for the victims of the Bengaluru stampede incident at the meeting, PTI reported.
Water Management And Infrastructure Development Reviewed
The council discussed various other pressing issues related to development. The Ministry of Jal Shakti presented a comprehensive update on India’s water management strategy, including infrastructure development and diplomatic preparedness under the Indus Waters Treaty.
Other ministries presented updates on key sectors like energy, infrastructure, and social welfare. The Prime Minister urged ministries to align their communication efforts with the government’s wider vision of public engagement.
All ministers were instructed to highlight five key achievements made over the past 11 years from their respective ministries and take them directly to the public. PM Modi also underlined the need for unified messaging and outreach to inform citizens about reforms done under the NDA regime.
