Prashant Kishor Suffers Rib Injury During Roadshow In Bihar’s Arrah, Rushed To Hospital

Prashant Kishor fell ill during a public gathering in Arrah on Friday evening. While on a roadshow, he was injured in the chest while trying to protect a woman. After reaching the stage to address the crowd, he began to feel chest pain. Supporters quickly helped him down from the stage and took him to the hospital for treatment. He was later shifted to Patna.

The Jan Suraaj party leader was in Arrah as part of his Badhlaav Yatra (Change Campaign). After a 2-km roadshow, he arrived at Ramna Maidan for the public address. During the roadshow, while greeting the crowd, he opened the vehicle’s door, and a woman standing right next to it came in close contact. While trying to protect her and shut the door quickly, his chest got caught between the door and the vehicle, leading to the injury.

Despite being injured, Kishor still came on stage to address the public, but his condition deteriorated. Uday Narayan Singh, speaking from the stage, informed the crowd that Kishor was hurt and would briefly appear. Kishor was seen visibly in pain, holding a bottle of cold water to the injured area.

CT Scan Conducted at Private Hospital in Arrah

Kishor could not stay on stage for long and was taken to a private hospital in Arrah, where a CT scan was performed. Dr. Vijay Gupta, who treated him and confirmed that the injury is not serious. Kishor was given antibiotics and painkillers. He is currently comfortable but needs rest. The treatment is conservative, and there is no major cause for concern. He is expected to recover in 24 to 48 hours.
