
Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), a Maharatna CPSU under the Ministry of Power, was conferred with the SCOPE Eminence Award for Human Resource Management by President Droupadi Murmu on August 29, in a function held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. The award was received by Ravindra Kumar Tyagi, Chairman and Managing Director, POWERGRID, along with Dr Yatindra Dwivedi, Director (Personnel), POWERGRID.
On this occasion, Union Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary and Department of Public Enterprises (DPE) Secretary K Moses Chalai were present along with senior officials of CPSUs, SCOPE and POWERGRID.
This recognition highlights POWERGRID’s progressive HR practices that emphasise employee-focused policies, continuous upskilling and leadership development, while nurturing a culture of innovation, inclusivity, and holistic well-being across the organisation.
As of July 31, 2025, POWERGRID has commissioned and is operating 286 sub-stations and more than 1,80,849 ckm transmission lines, and 5,74,331 MVA of transformation capacity.
With the adoption of the latest technological tools and techniques, enhanced use of automation and digital solutions, POWERGRID has been able to maintain an average transmission system availability of more than 99.85 per cent.
