Gandhi Urges Party Workers And Leaders To Connect With People
During the address he emphasised the need to connect with the people in the state to win their support. Citing an example of Bharat Jodo Yatra, Gandhi said: “We showed that Congress can do it. From Kashmir to Kanyakumari, we showed how Congress can connect with the people of the country. The politics of the nation is changing. Our leaders, including myself, need to go amongst the people and visit their homes. We will have to listen to their voices.”
He further asked the Congress workers and leaders to ask people what they need and the expectations they have from the party to ascertain what can be done for their health, education, busisness, and future.
“We need to tell them that we are here to listen to them and not to give speeches and raise slogans…We need to do this first and this can be done very easily,” he said.
