Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday issued a stern warning to Pakistan over its continued support for terrorism, urging its people to rise against the scourge or face the consequences. Speaking at a public rally in Bhuj, Gujarat, he said, “To free Pakistan from the disease of terrorism, its people must come forward, its youth must come forward. Live a life of peace, eat your bread in peace — or else, my bullets are always ready (Pakistan ko atank ki bimari se mukt karne ke liye Pakistan ki aawaam ko aage aana hoga, Pakistan ke naujawano ko aage aana hoga. Sukh chain ki zindagi jiyo, roti khao, warna meri goli to hai hi).”
The sharp remarks came during an event where the Prime Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for development projects worth over ₹53,400 crores. These include major initiatives in the power sector, such as transmission projects for evacuating renewable energy from the Khavda Renewable Energy Park, expansion of the transmission network, and a new ultra-supercritical thermal power unit at Tapi. Projects related to the Kandla Port, as well as road, water, and solar initiatives under the Government of Gujarat, were also announced.
‘Their Airbases Are Still In ICU’: PM Modi’s Swipe At Pakistan Over Operation Sindoor Strikes
Addressing Pakistan directly, PM Modi said, “Our policy against terrorism is that of zero tolerance. Operation Sindoor made our policy crystal clear. Whoever will make us bleed will see a similar response. At no cost will they be spared. Operation Sindoor is a mission to save humanity and end terrorism.”
He added, “We waited for 15 days to see if Pakistan would take any steps against terrorism, but probably, terrorism is their bread and butter. When they did nothing, I gave our armed forces a free hand.”
Referring to Pakistani airbases damaged by IAF strikes, the Prime Minister stated, “Our retaliation was so strong that their airbases are still in ICU… It was the valour and bravery of our forces that Pakistan waved the white flag… We had already told them, our target was your terror infrastructure; all you had to do was stay quiet. Now that you made a mistake, you have to deal with the consequences.”
He also invoked the courage of Kutch’s women during the 1971 war, saying, “The brave women of Kutchh defeated Pakistan’s propaganda when they repaired the Bhuj runway in 72 hours… Those women came to me and blessed me, and they also gifted me a sindoor plant. It will be planted in the PM House.”
Highlighting India’s development strides in contrast, PM Modi said, “From the sacred land of Kutch, I want to ask the citizens of Pakistan: What have you really gained? Today, India is the world’s fourth-largest economy. And look at your condition. Your army runs its own agenda. Your government and military have made terrorism a business — a source of income at the cost of your lives and your future.”
“The children of Pakistan must know the truth — that their suffering is the result of a system that fuels terror instead of building a nation. Now, it is up to the people of Pakistan to decide: Is this the path you want for your future?” he added.
Kutchh Is Becoming The World’s Largest Centre For Green Energy: PM Modi
On the development front, the Prime Minister praised the transformative changes in Kutchh. “Development projects of more than ₹50,000 crores have been inaugurated here today. There was a time when the whole of Gujarat would not see such a huge project announcement, and now a district will benefit from such a huge development work,” he said.
He also highlighted India’s push towards a green future. “Today, Kutchh is becoming the world’s largest centre for green energy. Green hydrogen is a new type of fuel, and in the coming time, cars and buses will run on it,” Modi said. A green hydrogen factory with “Made in India” technology was also launched.
Emphasising inclusive growth, he said the government’s aim is to provide sufficient power at zero cost. “That is why we launched the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana. Many people in Gujarat are already benefiting from this scheme,” he said.
On tourism and maritime development, PM Modi added, “Tourism is a sector that provides employment to a large number of people. From seafood to tourism and trade, the coastal region is creating a new ecosystem.” He also noted India’s ambition to become a global leader in shipbuilding.
