TCS Q4FY25 Results: Net profit declines 1.69% QoQ, revenue below estimates

IT behemoth Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) released its March quarter results on Thursday. For the reporting quarter, the company’s revenue has been recorded at Rs 64,479 crore. This is lower than Zee Business research estimates of Rs 64,591 crore, which estimated a 1 per cent rise in revenue quarter-on-quarter. IT major’s revenue during the December quarter was at Rs 63,973 crore. 

Consolidated net profit for the March quarter declined 1.69 per cent to Rs 12,224 crore. The research desk estimated net profit at Rs 12,517 crore, registering a mild over 1.1 per cent rise from Rs 12,380 crore recorded in the previous December quarter.

During the same period last year, the company had declared a net profit of Rs12,434 crore. 

In US dollar terms, the IT major reported revenue of $7,465 million, while the constant currency growth during FY25 stood at 4.2 per cent. For the quarter, Zee Business research estimated to decline by 0.3 per cent.

Order book value

The order book total contract value (TCV), however, stood at $12.2 billion during the review quarter versus $10.2 billion in Q3FY25. In Q1 and Q2, the TCV was at $8.3 billion and $8.6 billion, respectively.

TCS dividend

For the FY25, the company declared a final dividend of Rs 30 per share. Accordingly, the total dividend for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2025 is at Rs 126.
