[WATCH] Rishabh Pant’s audacious one-handed pull shot sails over boundary line

Rishabh Pant pulled off a brilliant one-handed six in the match against CSK. The LSG skipper hit Matheesha Pathirana’s bouncer over the fence to fetch maximum runs. The Southpaw connected the ball well and did not even need a full extension of both his arms to dispatch the ball over the square leg region.

Pathirana tried to bowl yorkers on the previous delivery and bowled a couple of wides, which forced him to go short. Pant recognized the back of a length delivery and connected it well. After getting everything on his shot, Pant got the follow-through on just one of his hands, as the ball travelled into the stands.

It was a trademark Pant shot. The star batter usually hits such shots every now and then. It had been a long time since Pant hit such a shot. However, Pant made sure to take his time in the middle and score enough runs to regain his confidence. He helped LSG to post a total of 166 runs on the board.

For the first time in the IPL 2025, the LSG batter scored over 50 runs in an innings. Pant started well, as he was 21(12) at one point in the match. With the progression of the match, the star batter slowed down, as the ball did not come nicely onto the bat. The LSG skipper struggled to score enough in the middle overs.

At one point, he was 38(36) and could not rotate strike well against Noor Ahmad. However, the talented batter went after the bowlers in the death overs. In his stay in the middle, Pant played 49 balls and scored 63 runs, which included four fours and sixes each.
