Watch: Shubman Gill plays with Ishant Sharma’s daughter at airport ahead of GT vs KKR clash

Gujarat Titans (GT) skipper Shubman Gill was recently spotted playing with Ishant Sharma’s young daughter at the airport, ahead of GT’s big clash against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). The video, which surfaced on social media a day before the game, saw Gill sharing a playful moment with the pacer’s daughter while the Titans squad was on their way to Kolkata for their IPL 2025 fixture.

The interaction came after GT’s clinical seven-wicket win over Delhi Capitals at the Narendra Modi Stadium. Although Gill had an off day with the bat, being run out for just seven, the Titans chased down a 204-run target, thanks to Jos Buttler’s unbeaten 97 and a 119-run partnership with Sherfane Rutherford. Notably, Ishant and his wife, former basketball player Pratima Singh, welcomed their daughter in November 2023.

Shubman’s 90 paves the way for Gujarat

Meanwhile, on Monday, GT locked horns with KKR at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata in Match 39 of the season. Opting to bowl first, KKR looked to put pressure on the table-toppers early. However, Gill and his opening partner, Sai Sudharsan, continued their fine form. By the 12th over, the visiting team’s scorecard read 113/0. Gill looked in good touch, scoring his third fifty of the season, while Sudharsan also brought up his half-century.

Despite KKR’s will to bounce back after a patchy season, with just three wins in seven games, the early brilliance from GT made things tough. Sunil Narine and Varun Chakravarthy tried to get things back on track, but the GT opening duo got the better of them.
