The family which was found dead inside a car in Haryana’s Panchkula, suspected to be mass suicide, was reportedly debt-ridden with no relief from any source, an eyewitness recounted.
Six members of a family were found dead inside a car parked in the city while the seventh member died on the way to a hospital, said the police on Tuesday.
A local who saw the family along with his brother narrated that one family member, a man who was still alive at that time told them that the family was debt-ridden but no one came forward to help.

‘Whole Family Committed Suicide’
“My brother went for a walk at around 10 in the night. Our owner said that there was a car parked behind our vehicles. Both of them went to see that car. At that time, there was only one person alive in the car,” local Harish Rana told ANI.
“That person said all of us are getting some rest…But later we found it suspicious and went to the car again. We saw that everyone had vomited in the car. All of them were dead…,” he said.
“When we questioned the person who was alive, he said that the whole family had committed suicide by consuming poison… After 5 minutes, he also collapsed,” Rana recounted.
The man mentioned that the family was in debt and no one supported them. Their relatives are millionaires, but they did not help…That’s why the family did this…A total of 7 people were in the family, as per the locals.
Among the deceased were Praveen Mittal (41), his wife, the couple’s three children, and Praveen’s parents.
Praveen’s maternal cousin told reporters that the family was in good condition earlier, “had good cars and everything, but due to the crisis, there was no money…”
