Temperature Likely To Increase

According to the IMD, the maximum and minimum temperatures in Delhi on Thursday are expected to be around 29 and 13 degrees Celsius, respectively. According to private weather agency Skymet, the wind speed will decrease starting Friday. After that, a gradual increase in temperature has been forecast.

The maximum temperature is expected to remain above 32 degrees Celsius until 11 March. The minimum temperature could hover around 17 degrees Celsius.

Strong Winds Bring Down Delhi-NCR Temperature

Delhi experienced strong winds throughout Wednesday, with the wind speed going up to 30 kilometres per hour. The IMD said that the maximum temperature of the day was recorded at 25 degrees Celsius, which is 2.4 degrees below normal, while the minimum temperature was 11.8 degrees Celsius.

AQI Improves In Delhi

The Air Quality Index (AQI) in Delhi has dropped as pollution went down to some extent. The AQI at 5.30 AM on Thursday was 123, which is categorised as ‘moderate’. An AQI between zero and 50 is considered good, 51 to 100 satisfactory, 101 to 200 moderate, 201 to 300 poor, 301 to 400 very poor and 401 to 500 severe.
