
Delhi Weather Update: Delhi-NCR has been experiencing fluctuating weather conditions. Sunday evening saw light rain and strong winds across several areas, offering temporary relief from the heat. However, rainfall is expected to continue in the national capital as the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for rain in Delhi.
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of thunderstorms accompanied by rain in the city from June 2 to June 4. The maximum temperature on Monday is predicted to be 37 degrees Celsius, and the minimum temperature 23 degrees Celsius. Additionally, strong winds (40-50 km/h) are expected in Delhi and surrounding areas on Monday.
From June 3 to June 7, the maximum temperature in Delhi is likely to range between 36-39 degrees Celsius while minium temperature could settle between 24-28 degrees Celsius.

Gusty Winds In Parts Of Delhi
The IMD reported that on Sunday, due to advancing clouds from the east and southeast, winds gusting at 30-40 km/h, increasing to 50 km/h, swept through southern parts of the national capital at an intervals of one to two hours.
Wind speeds increased significantly in several locations. At 4:30 PM, Palam and Jharoda Kalan in South West Delhi recorded wind speeds of 65 km/h and 37 km/h respectively, while Safdarjung witnessed gusts of 66 km/h between 4:35 PM and 4:37 PM, as per the IMD.
Furthermore, wind speeds reached 76 km/h at Pragati Maidan at 4:45 PM on Sunday. According to the Public Works Department (PWD) control room, there were no reports of major waterlogging. An official stated that approximately 10 calls were received regarding waterlogging. The department attributed this sudden situation to the interaction of several active weather systems.
The department recorded a maximum temperature of 37.9 degrees Celsius, 2.1 degrees below the seasonal average. Meanwhile, the relative humidity fluctuated between 98 per cent and 56 per cent.
