A section of cricket enthusiasts has become curious to know Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s numbers in first-class cricket, especially after he was named vice-captain of the East Zone side for the upcoming edition of the Duleep Trophy.
Sooryavanshi recently made his international debut in England after a stellar outing with the bat in the Indian Premier League (IPL), where he amassed 776 runs in 16 innings at a strike rate of 237.31 and won the MVP (Most Valuable Player) award. The 15-year-old was subsequently named in India’s squad for the T20I series in Ireland and England.

The talented youngster made his Ranji Trophy debut in January 2024 at the age of just 12 years and 284 days, making him the fourth-youngest overall and second-youngest player ever to feature in the country’s premier domestic red-ball tournament. He also became the youngest player to debut in the Ranji Trophy since 1986.
Sooryavanshi has also served as Bihar’s vice-captain in the Ranji Trophy last season when he was just 14 years old. After captivating fans with his batting acumen in white-ball cricket, fans are waiting to witness his prowess in days cricket.
