Kent has announced the signing of left-arm spinner Jake Lintott on loan from Warwickshire for all formats until the culmination of the 2026 Blast. Lintott’s deal with the club is set to run until July 19.
Lintott is due to leave Warwickshire at the end of the 2026 season, having joined the club in 2020. His last first-team appearance for the Bears came in their 2025 Blast loss to Somerset in September that year. Lintott has picked up 90 wickets in 78 Blast Matches, bowling at an economy of 7.96 with best match-figures of 4 for 20 in a 55-run win over Northamptonshire in 2021. He has also represented Hampshire and Gloucestershire in the 2017 and 2018 Blast, respectively.
The 33-year-old was a late bloomer in the professional game, giving up a teaching job to trial with Warwickshire in 2020. He was given a full-time professional contract in 2021. He picked up 21 wickets in the 2021 Blast, which earned him a wildcard pick in the Men’s Hundred for Southern Brave. He was the Brave’s leading wicket-taker with 11 scalps in nine matches as they lifted the championship.
He made his List A debut in 2022, representing the England Lions in a 50-over game against South Africa. He has 48 wickets in 32 List-A games, with best figures of 5 for 37. He has also featured in various franchise leagues around the world, such as the Caribbean Premier League, Bangladesh Premier League, and Abu Dhabi T10.
“We’re delighted to welcome Jake into the group for the next block of first-team fixtures. He provides us with an extra dimension to our bowling attack in all formats, and will complement the spin options we have to give us more tactical flexibility,” Simon Cook, Kent Director of Cricket, said.
Kent kick off their 2026 Blast campaign against Middlesex at Lord’s on May 22. Lintott is also set to be available for Kent’s County Championship Division Two fixtures against Durham (beginning May 15), Lancashire (June 12) and Middlesex (June 19).
