🚔 Nagpur Crime Crackdown | DCP Annapurna Singh’s Major Action Against Habitual Offenders
In a significant law-and-order operation aimed at maintaining peace and public safety, DCP Annapurna Singh (Zone 5, Nagpur) launched a preventive action drive against habitual offenders across sensitive areas of East Nagpur.
The operation targeted individuals allegedly involved in illegal liquor activities, property-related offences, assault cases, and other criminal activities. Acting under the provisions of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) Section 163(2), preventive measures were taken against 87 known offenders.
📍 Police Station-wise Action:
✅ Yashodharanagar – 39 offenders
✅ Bhandewadi – 16 offenders
✅ Kalamna – 13 offenders
✅ Wathoda – 10 offenders
✅ Pardi – 9 offenders
The preventive orders restricted the movement of these individuals within their respective police station limits during the specified enforcement period, with the objective of preventing disturbances and ensuring public order.
